If, like us, you are a bit geeky & love your data, then the Reports tool is for you. Here you can export your sales data in a simplified & customised format. Think of it as your pivot table in the sky, where you can slice & interrogate your revenue data.
To create a new report, go to your Reports index page & hit the +Create button at the top right of the screen. You will be able to give the report a name for your reference & select a dataset to specify if you want to export your Sales or your Costs.
The Fields section allows you to choose which fields of data to export. Looking for a breakdown of your Net Payable per Release? Select the fields Net Payable, Cat No & Release Title. Looking for a breakdown of your number of Units per Territory? Select the fields Units and Territory. Looking for a breakdown of your Net Payable per Channel & Configuration? Select the fields Net Payable, Channel & Configuration. You can add as many fields as you like. Just remember, the more fields you select, the more data your report will include & the larger the spreadsheet will be. In the below example, we are going for a simple breakdown of all of our net earnings per territory.
With the Filters you can drill down into which specific sales you will export. If you are looking for the above data, but only for Download revenue, you can simply add Download as a filter on Configurations. Or looking for Download revenue but only in the United States? Simply add Download revenue as a filter on Configurations & the United States as a filter on Territories. Again, you can add as many filters or combinations of filters as you like. In the below example, note that we want to just export Download data, but from all Territories, Channels & Sources. We can therefore select the Download configuration but leave the other filters blank; automatically royalties from all Territories, Channels & Sources will be included.
Hit the export button & a report will be sent to you via email shortly. The file is in a CSV format & can be opened using Microsoft Excel, Numbers for Mac or Google Sheets. Each field you selected in your Report setup is now represented as a column in the Report & the data included is specific to your filtered dataset.
